Vacation Bidding Committee Process

Local 864 Members,
Your E-board has been tasked through a resolution to develop a committee to look in depth on how we pick and manage our vacation bid process. This committee will be tasked to review our current process and providing the E-board with data which shall be provided by the June Union meeting.
I am seeking interested members who will possess the capability to maintain an open mind and bring thoughtful ideas to the table. We understand that vacation bidding is a hot button and I expect this committee to provide useful data and provide your local with options that will satisfy all parties.
If you are interested in being considered for this committee please submit your name to Secretary Morgan by February 12,2010. I will apoint the committee members on the February 15th.
The committee will be made up of the following based off of lengthy discussions at our 2010 Executive board retreat.
3- Firefighters
1-Company Officer (LT or Capt)
1-BC/SO
Once formed this committee will vote on a chair and meet and determine dates and times of committee meetings. I will attend and provide this group with a copy of the resolution and provide direction and a vision. This committee will provide the President Monthly updates and be prepared to provide the Executive board with their committee report prior to the June Union meeting.
